About IQI Media


IQI Media is a full-service content development and production company based in Los Angeles, California. Our seasoned producers manage all aspects of a multilingual project through its full lifecycle, from conception and strategy to design, development, post-production, and delivery.  

IQI Media was founded in 2010 by Khiow Hui Lim, a native of Malaysia, to help advertising agencies, new media companies, and S&P 500 leaders create intuitive experiences for a diverse range of new and emerging media. To date, IQI has worked with globally renowned advertising firms like Ogilvy and Dentsu as well as new media companies and managed brands like Tencent, Apple, AIG, AT&T, Toyota, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Sony Entertainment, and more. 

Since 2012, IQI Media has been a key production partner for VisitTheUSA.com—the official tourism bureau for the United States—which delivers tailored content for the domestic and international Asian markets. In support of the Miles Partnership and Brand USA, IQI Media’s mission is to create attention-grabbing content that helps to increase tourism spending and market share while enhancing the image of the USA worldwide.

IQI Media has also produced feature films, commercials, and interactive projects with budgets of up to $40 million and union production crews of more than 80 people. In 2016, IQI Media produced Alien Code, a sci-fi thriller starring Mary McCormack, Azura Skye, Richard Schiff, and Kyle Gallner, now available on most streaming platforms. Other Hollywood credits include projects like Sony PlayStation 2’s Jet Li: Rise to Honor, the SAG Awards’ Hollywood Hit Broadway segment, and post-production editorial work on Resident Evil 5 & 6 and the Oscar-winning film Crash.

The word “QI” in Mandarin is 「砌」 — meaning an effort to assemble pieces of stone and build each stepping stone into a path to achieve your goals.

Amy Morton

Producer | Editorial Lead

Amy Morton began her career at Cowboy Pictures, a small New York City film distributor, where she assisted with sales and marketing for indie, foreign language and documentary films. She then relocated to Los Angeles, where she worked as a copywriter and eventually became the Manager of Marketing Communications for an ad agency serving healthcare clients... such as Pfizer.

From there, she returned to the film industry as the Assistant Manager for Editorial Services at MGM Home Entertainment, where she developed movie taglines, synopses and more for films such as Hotel Rwanda. Since 2005, Amy has freelanced for digital agencies serving Fortune Global 500 companies and helped clients–from entertainment to technology–craft the right messaging for their marketing, branding, and web content initiatives.

James Mills

Director | Writer | Director of Cinematography

After graduating from USC Film School with honors, James worked with producer Sean Daniel (The Mummy series, Tombstone, Dazed and Confused) before committing full-time to freelance filmmaking on his own. He has since gone on to shoot award winning narrative, commercial, music video, fashion, and documentary films (the Audience and Grand ...Jury awards at the San Francisco Film Festival and The International Audience Awards, the Grand Jury prize at the Reale International Film Festival, ShortOftheWeek.com winner, two Tellys, one Emmy nomination). His clients have included Marriott, Disney, Westfield, Scion, the Tennis Channel (for which he served as Creative Director during the 2015 ATP Season), NFL, NBA, MLB, Build-a-Bear, Holiday Inn, BCBG, and dozens of other globally recognized companies. Two of Mills’ feature screenplays are currently in pre-production (NEW AMERICANS, I WILL FOLLOW HIM).

James currently is now working at the field as the Director of Cinematography for Academy Award actor, Sean Penn’s documentary feature.

Winnie-the-Pooh – Prequel Feature Film

Genre: Animation

IQI Media, Inc. teamed up with the most accomplished animation writing and voicing teams worldwide, with 31 EMMYS collectively stars Baboon Animation work out a prequel feature film to the A.A Milne’s classic book “Winnie-the-Pooh”.

Winnie-the-Pooh will be reboot to that energetic and scheming cuddly bear who will do anything to get honey that he loves more than life itself.

This feature film tell the surprising origin of “silly young bear” and his hilarious band of young friends, when they were still kids in a way designed to connect with 21st century kids!

Development Phase: Storyline and character design position developing, estimate complete by second Quarter of 2023

This Whole World

Genre: Animation

This Whole World is a pre-school animation with two different type productions one is animation series mainly for Streaming Platforms for twenty-two (22) series binding with animated musical series featuring songs. Another is animation features mainly for Theatrical Release with movie for ninety to hundred minutes binding medium CG with toon shader, 2D animation and animated musical featuring songs.

The Story timeline of This Whole World is about a distant, faraway world where a planet of colorful.

Animation Series is mainly for Streaming Platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, Peacock, etc. It will be eleven minutes for every episodes with twenty-two (22) series binding with animated musical series featuring songs by Brian Wilson. This project series is suitable for four to six (4 – 6) years old children and family.

Animation Feature is mainly for Theatrical Release with one movie for ninety to hundred minutes binding medium CG with toon shader, 2D animation and animated musical featuring songs by Brian Wilson, after a month release in Theatrical it will go to Streaming, Video on Demand (VOD), Over-to-Top (OTT). This animation feature movie suitable for six to twelve (6 – 12) years old children and family.

Sunday Dinner

Genre: Motion Movie

Sunday Dinner is a Motion Movie, this movie story takes place in New York in the 80’s talks about Sunday Dinner at Ma’s house with a homemade Italian-American classic. It’s a heartwarming comedy that will keep you at the edge of your seat laughing and hungry all-time. We believe to be comparable to “Sunday Dinner” either in terms of budget or genre. As is often the case with thesesorts of films, they have all had very successful post-theatrical sales above and beyong their world wide theatrical grosses such as “Moonstruck, Big Night, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, City Island, This Is Where I Leave You, My Cousin Vinny”.

We have concluded an initial LOI and MOU with Director Matteo Ribaudo we will produce original content of Sunday Dinner. It will appeal to the hearts of audiences worldwide with its themes of family, drama and a big helping of comedy.

Boy Band Christmas

Genre: Feature Film

Some of the iconic members from the boy bands of the 90s and early 2000s are joining forces to put on the ultimate holiday performance – 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men, O-Town, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys. “Boy Band Christmas” is a romantic comedy that taps into this nostalgia towards the bands that resonates strongly within pop culture today and provides a fun, quirky story of love over the holidays.

In 2023, production of “Boy Band Christmas” by Brian Power Studio, will be done in collaboration with IQI Media as the co-producer of the feature film.

Lana Longbeard

Genre: Animation Series

Copernicus Animation – the animation studio which will be the production facility for “This Whole World”, an IQI owned IP, currently is seeking for Equity partnership with IQI to complete Copernicus’ own IP, Lana Longbeard”, an animation series. The “Lana Longbeard” series will be distributed by HBO MAX (UK).

The series revolves around Lana (age eleven), a feisty forward-thinking girl, and Andar (fifty and feeling it), her gruff set-in-his-ways father as they travel The Ten Realms.

Lana is the heir to her father’s adventuring ship “The Mighty Windbreaker” she follows is her father’s footsteps to become one of the greatest adventures in the ten realms, Lana must first overcome some challenging obstacles – impulsivity, stubbornness, extreme curiosity, disdain for rules, and love of pancakes. All the best things about HER! WHAT?! UNLIKELY!

The Map

Genre: Limited Action Series

IQI Media has concluded an initial LOI to raise funds and produce the original content, “The Map”. Showrunner Christopher May and Katrina Nahikian will executive produce along with IQI to sell and delivery this limited series. Currently in development stage.

The story outline about the hand drawn map is used more as a compass than a perfect tail finder. Hand drawn by her father, it gives Abigail the basic route to follow and destinations to hit, but it’ll be up to her to figure out the details and specifics once she arrives at a designated market on the map. The trail leads from her home in California in a somewhat zig zag pattern across the country ending somewhere on the coast of North Carolina. Abigail will soon suss out some of the clues that will give her no doubt that her father Michael is still alive. Forced to fake his own death after being framed by his old boss, Michael needs Abigail to uncover the clues that will lead her to the truth and her father.

Cured

Genre: TV Limited Series

Cured is a television limited series with three(3) seasons about the cure for cancer has been found and covered up by corporate pharmaceutical companies; our misunderstood hero must rediscover his father’s cure while being antagonized by corporations and the people closest to him.

Filming will secure 10mm development financing for Gene_03, in the Season 1 all episode breakdown have completed. Filming one of the location will be at Portland, Maine. Current Status is in development for pilot. After that, it will go direct to Network and VOD connections for principal production funding, with the plan of sell the show as ORIGINAL content while excluding international rights.

We secure distribution deal with the one of the following streaming platforms: Amazon Studios, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, HBO Max, and Paramount+.

My Daughter’s Death

Genre: Feature Film

My Daughter’s Death is a feature movie. Some people are destined for the spot light, some are destined for the streetlight.

This is a film about the forgotten faces of the American Dream. One that is personal based off the true story of family members related to us. It will be treated as such, with delicacy and compassion and sensitivity, but also in admiration of its perseverant subjects. We want a team of equally rogue-minded creatives with unfiltered, nonjudgmental views of the world. And we want to hear what they want to see made. This is the dream, making the film we want to see. Finally that dream is about to come true.

I Will Follow Him

Genre: Feature Film

I Will Follow Him is a feature film about a man claiming to be the runaway son of a reclusive widow reappears after twenty years to claim his inheritance, what begins as an emotion al reunion unravels into a dangerous, demented affairs as the twisted history of the lavish estate unearths.

She uses her hilltop palace as a prison, locked in with her memories and guilt far from the bright Los Angeles lights below. It is the ultimate prize that lures Guy in originally, symbolic of a wealthy lifestyle he’s never been privy to.

Inside he finds it haunted with creeks and booms coming from the boy’s locked room, and his only clue to its unlocking lies in the eerie crest engraved to its doorknob. But there’s more; the boy’s clothes and toys seem to appear and then disappear, there are items buried in the yard where the boy’s favorite tree used to be and where the last VHS footage of his was captured, and then there’s the scratch marks that keep appearing, and the visions of the boy’s ghost following him through the hall.

Current Status is a final screenplay is locked and confirmed to make into Feature. Marketing and Distributing films (P&A) with a strong woman’s character.

Billie Black

Genre: Horror, Live Action Feature

Billie Black is a thrill ride of a ghost story about love, grief, and learning to let go, all told from the perspective of a character literally haunted by her past. At its core, it’s a horror movie with a heart.

Billie Black has seen horrifying visions of ghosts since childhood — a gift that has felt more like an isolating curse growing up. Now as an adult, she pays her bills by using her paranormal abilities to rid haunted houses of their unwanted guests. Her few remaining friends wish she would give up her dangerous profession, including the ghost of her dearly departed husband, who has been haunting her since his death. When Billie’s usual source of lucrative hauntings dries up, she is forced to venture into the seedier corners of the paranormal. There, Billie will uncover new evils that will threaten not only her life, but her beloved husband’s soul.
